Audio examples played at ISMIR
These are the examples I played during the presentation at the ISMIR 2004 conference last October. All of them have been recorded using the aubionotes application with the default parameters. The left channel is the original signal; the right channel is the piano sound as transcribed by aubionotes.
- flute.ogg (196K) wav (3,2M)
- a synthetic flute (transcribed from MIDI using Timidity)
- glass_enclosure.ogg (184K) wav (2.3M)
- a polyphonic piano intro, with some cymbals coming up on accents
- piano-octave.ogg (260K) wav (1.6M)
- another piano example and the infamous octave problem
- pblues.ogg (124K) wav (3.4M)
- a guitar intro, with a drummer entering later on
aubionotes sends MIDI signals, extracted from the input, to a piano sampler, using Fluidsynth. You can listen to the original or the transcription separately by muting one or the other channel, and have an idea of the delay playing both together.
Update: Added Ogg files.
