Hello Scott,

The first thing to try is to use aubio 0.3.1, which includes a newer
version of libtool.

According to the following thread about pango: 

"I used `export MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.4` before configuring and
making, and I seem to get further"
